    SECTION 2: PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
    A two to three line statement outlining the objective or the reason for which the role exists
    1. Person will be responsible for end to end Fund Accounting related activities for domestic clients
    2. Independently lead team of fund accountants.
     
    SECTION 3: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
    A list of critical responsibilities and accountabilities attached to this role
    Well versed with various regulations pertaining to Mutual Funds / Insurance /  PMS / Offshore / AIF categories
    Manage daily operations of entire fund accounting activities for specific client/s and ensure stringent adherance to regulatory requirements
    Responsible for investment operation activities comprising portfolio valuation, multicurrency portfolio accounting, income and expense accrual, dividend distribution etc.
    To independantly handle year end Audit and finalisation of Annual Financials in liaison with statutory auditor and client
    To perform valuation of securities related activities based on Regulation / Clients Valuation Policy
    Support operational aspects of the Funds, including cash management and reporting, liquidity, income collection, class actions, trade settlement and dividend tax reclaims.  Coordinate as necessary with Portfolio Managers, and third-party service providers
    Ensure all transactions meet appropriate requirements and complete trade processing accurately and timely according to market and client specific requirements and deadlines
    Independent coordination with various auditors and ensure NIL adverse observations
    Responsible for adherance to various timelines w.r.t. prevalent regulations and requirements specific to client
    Maintain and nurture relationship with assigned clientele, understand client requirement, pro-actively explore feasibility and address them deftly to ensure client delight
    Responsible for the development of new product solutions and identification of product gaps in the current product offering, as well as strategically developing or enhancing them, which includes establishing the appropriate governance and risk framework. Periodic review of various control parameters and report gaps to senior management
    Periodic review, maintenance and compliance of client SLA. Drawing up SLA for prospective clients across lines of business pertaining to Fund Administration
    People Management
    Evaluate performance of team members, provide feedback on an ongoing basis, identify development needs and mentor them to ensure ongoing capability development.
    Ensure clarity of individual roles and appropriate delegation of responsibility within team members in the department.
    General Management
    Create team level objectives, goals and action plan for the year by cascading the organizational and departmental goals & objectives
    Coordinate audits for the department for various regulatory purposes and ensure compliance with all norms
     
    SECTION 4: KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
    Minimum qualification, work experience, technical skills and capabilities which are essential to execute the role
    Educational Qualification
    Graduate / MBA (Finance) / Chartered Accountant
     
    Overall Work Experience
    5 – 8 years relevant work experience in Fund Accounting / NAV computation / Mutual Fund or Insurance Operations.
     
    Other Technical/Behavioural Skills
    User knowledge of Multifonds would be an additional advantage.
    Job title Senior Research Analyst – Loan Origination and Loan Management (Retail Banking)
    Location Bangalore , Kolkata
    Experience 3+ years-7 years of experience in loan origination and account management, associated with retail lending products
    Job Duties

    n  The role entails supporting the Credit Risk team of a global bank, in analysing their retail lending products (such as mortgages, credit cards, loans and overdrafts)

    n  Supporting loan origination activities such as risk-based loan pricing, limit setting, loan loss modelling, line management, etc.

    n  Credit risk management of the assigned retail portfolio and performing loan analytics (such as stress testing, sensitivity analysis)

    n  Suggest credit strategies across the loan life cycle (from origination to recovery/collection)

    n  Creating interactive dashboards to visually represent and review key metrics and performance/trends for the underlying retail lending portfolio

    n  Generating MIS, business insights and highlighting portfolio hotspots by deploying available data and applying statistical tools/techniques

    n  Regular interaction with the client to discuss loan origination/management strategies, visualisation dashboards as well as workflow

    n  Engage with client teams proactively and identify opportunities for standardization of processes to bring in effectiveness and gain efficiency

    Academic Qualification Preferred: Masters in Finance/Mathematics/Economics/Statistics / CA. CFA certifications will be an advantage

    Skills and Traits Required

     

    The following traits are mandatory:

    n  Strong understanding of core finance and accounting concepts. Knowledge of financial services and retail banking operations (ideally in a global bank set-up) are required

    n  Prior experience in the loan life cycle operations, particularly loan origination is required

    n  Experience in loan analytics – such as portfolio stress testing, loan loss modelling, is required

    n  Knowledge of Python/SAS/R, SQL and other equivalent analytical tools is a must

    n  Knowledge on Data Visualization tools such as Tableau and Qliksense is preferred

    n  Knowledge of regulations pertaining to banking and retail loans

    n  Excellent report writing and communication skills

    n  Strong process orientation and time management skills

    n  Ability to communicate analytical thoughts in a crisp, concise and precise manner

    n  Strong inter-personal skills and ability to participate/contribute as a team player

    n  Prior experience in Retail Loan Management, Business Analysis, Project Management and Client Management is preferred
